Betty Christopher's Betrothal Announced
The engagement of Miss Betty Christopher to Robert Eugene Lincecum was announced Sunday at a tea given by Mrs. J. H. Caldwell and Mrs. T. H. Rea at the home of the former, 1903 West Colorado.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Christopher, 2853 Burlington, and Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Lincecum, 406 South Mont Clair.

Receiving with the hostess and the honree were the mothers of the engaged couple and Miss Mary Jo Christopher, sister of the bride-elect, who will be maid of honor.

Miss Sue Love presented the guests with blue metallic match folders printed with the names of the couple and the wedding date, June 7.

The tea table was laid with an imported cutwork cloth and centered with pink roses in an antique silver urn. Mrs. Jack Meyer and Mrs. Donald Chaffee poured tea.

In the house party were Mrs. Johnnie J. Bates, Mrs. Allen Fleming, Mrs. Don Whetzle, Misses Shirley Brans, Mary Elizabeth Grant, Joanne Moore and Barbara Stuteville.

The Rev. W. O. Barnett will officiate at the wedding in Calvary Baptist Church.

Miss Love and Miss Grant will be bridesmaids and Jo Carol Crain of Siloam Springs, Ark., will be junior bridesmaid.

John Coolidge will be best man. Johnnie J. Bates, Jimmy Caldwell, Dick Ingels, Craig Johnson, Fagan Mason of Corpus Christi and Charlie Parr of Amarillo will be groomsmen and ushers.

Miss Betty Ann Christopher Bride of Robert E. Lincecum
Miss Betty Ann Christopher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Christopher, 2853 Burlington, exchanged nuptial vows Saturday night with Robert Eugene Lincecum, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Lincecum, 406 South Mont Clair.

The Rev. W. O. Barnett officiated at Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Mrs. [sic] A. F. Whiddon and Mrs. Chleo Misemer presented music.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a tulle and lace gown in ice blue over satin. The full tulle skirt was accented with lace-scalloped panels to the demitasse-length hem. A matching lace hat held her ice-blue illusion veil and she carried gardenias with valley lilies.

Miss Mary Jo Christopher was her sister's maid of honor. Miss Sue Love and Miss Mary Elizabeth Grant were bridesmaids and Jo Carol Crain of Siloam Springs, Ark., was junior bridesmaid.

Best man was John Coolidge. Dick Ingels, Fagan Mason of Corpus Christi and Jimmy Caldwell were groomsmen. Ushers included Johnny J. Bates, Ronny Goodnight, Denny Waddle, Harry Rea, Craig Johnson and Charles Patt of Amarillo.

Mrs. Don Chaffee registered guests at a reception in the church youth center. Serving were Mrs. Charles Parr, Mrs. Don Whetzle, Mrs. A. J. Fleming, Miss Joanne Moore, Miss Shirley Brans and Miss Barbara Stuteville.

The newlyweds will live in Dallas after a wedding trip to the Gulf Coast.

Mr. Lincecum is a graduate of Texas A&M College.
