    • Listed near Nancy for the 1840 Wilkinson County, Georgia Federal census were Wm Cannington (age 20-30) and Britton Cannington (age 20-30). Some online family trees suggest these men were half-brothers of Nancy's husband John. Others suggest they were sons of John and Nancy (which was my first thought).

    • A witness signature included on Nancy's (1873) War of 1812 widow's pension application was of a Thomas Canington. Online family trees suggest this was actually Thomas Canington Williams, son of Caroline Canington Williams. Caroline being a daughter of John and Nancy.
