Ball from Rifle in Hands of Father Lodges in Head.
SPECIAL TO THE NEWS.
Austin, Tex., May 28 -- A most distressing accident occurred here today, resulting in the death of Willie Lincecum, 14-year-old daughter of Val Lincecum. She was accidentally shot in the head and instantly killed by a ball from a rifle which Mr. Lincecum was overhauling preparatory to lending it to a neighbor, who was present. The rifle was accidentally discharged and the ball went through a room partition, striking and killing the girl. She did not utter a sound and neither of the men heard her fall, but her dead form was soon discovered by her mother.
The verdict of the Coroner was as stated.
