      - From Judy Jacobson's Alabama & Mississippi Connections:
"On April 26, [1861], an E. Pluribus Lincecum, age 24, enlisted in Company E of the 11th Mississippi Infantry Regiment. He was recruited out of Crawford (then Crawfordsville), in far southwestern Lowndes County, Mississippi, where Gideon had lived and just across the county border from Grabrel [sic] and Grant in Oktibbeha County. According to Confederate records, E. Pluribus died of "Thyphoid Pneumonia" at Harpers Ferry, Virginia, on June 7, 1861. E. Pluribus was probably the son of one of the Lincecum brothers of this genealogy."
