- Guadalupe County Commissioner Dies; Seguin, Tex; May 19, 1929: County Commissioner Abner H. Tilley died at his home near Woodrow Center, Saturday of heart trouble. He had not been feeling well lately, but death was unexpected. He had been commissioner since he was sworn in November 3, 1920 until his death Saturday May 19, 1929. Funeral services were held Sunday May 20, 1929. He is survived by his wife and a number of children. He was 60 years old and an old resident of the county. The flag on the court house was half masted, Saturday, out of respect.
