  • Notes
    • - Jack served during World War I.

      - Jack "excelled in growing garden crops of vegetables and fruits for meals. He could grow the largest, greatest number and most tasteful tomatoes in the area and always shared with his neighbors. During the Depression days he referred to black-eyed peas as "Life Savers." He also grew large watermelons and cantaloupe. Jack loved animals, especially dogs, and he had three favorites named Ring, Belle and Spot."
