    • - Charles W. Linscum, age 26, enlisted in Company B, 8th MO Cav Regt, on 15 Aug 1862, in Cape Girardeau County, MO. He transferred to Company D on 10 Dec 1862. He was wounded in action near Chalk Bluff, AR, 24 Mar 1863. He was discharged for a reason not of record on 28 Sep 1863.

      - According to Grandpa's notes, Charles Linscum is listed in the 1870 Hubble, Cape Girardeau, Missouri federal census. Listed with him is wife Susan and another female named Martha Ascue.
