- According to the 1930 Gonzales County, Texas Federal Census, Sarah's father was born in Alabama, and her mother was born in Mississippi. This is listed as Mississippi and Georgia in the 1900 Gonzales County, Texas Federal Census.
- Sarah was president of the Gonzales Chapter, Daughters of the Confederacy (Children of the Confederacy). Her signature is on a certificate acknowledging the great-granddaughter of Lachaon Joseph Lincecum, Sarah Daisy Patten, on 6 January 1931. Sarah Daisy was certified as a Daughter of the Confederacy.
