A Negro Charged With Assault on a Girl, Resists Arrest and is Killed By
His Captors -- His Body Found
ALBANY, Ga, June 26 -- [Special] -- News reached the city today of the
lynching of Ned Clark, colored, in Worth county. Clark was charged with
attempting to commit a rape upon a young white girl thirteen years of
age. His capturers were conveying him to Irwin county, the scene of his
crime. They returned without him, stating that he had attempted to
escape while in the woods and was shot down. His body was found with
nineteen bullets in it, and the bushes around it were riddled with
